The Port Washington-Saukville Jaycees were established in 1948.  Over 60 years later, young men and women carry on that legacy with commitment and dedication to serving our community and improving it for future generations.

Friendships:

Becoming involved in the Jaycees leads to friendships that will last a lifetime.  Members work together developing ideas, planning events and working on projects.  Through their interactions, members will develop bonds that strengthen with each and every meeting or project.

Leadership:

Jaycees are provided leadership learning opportunities with every meeting and project.  Planning and implementing a project leads to individual growth in communication skills, organizational skills and management skills.  These skills transfer to careers and personal relationships.  Many chapters also bring in outside speakers on a variety of topics to membership meetings.  Topics can include planning personal finances, better parenting skills, basic car-care tips or any other subject in which the members are interested.

Make A Difference:

For more than 87 years, Jaycees have been making a difference in communities across the United States.  Jaycees helped establish commercial aviation in America and raised millions of dollars for causes such as March of Dimes.  They have built parks, playgrounds, ball fields and shelters for youth and elderly.  Jaycees are involved in just about every community festival across the state of Wisconsin.  They run signature projects that raise thousands of dollars:  Over $100,000 has been donated for Junior Chamber Mission Inn, Red Cross support and the American Diabetes Association. The Wisconsin Jaycees supported donations of over $10,000 for Special Olympics in 2000. The Port Washington-Saukville Jaycees are limited only by their imagination and motivation!!
